Club Minutes
George welcomed all club members. Lester and Karen Wells had their children and grandkids as guests. O.V. Keith requested the blessing for the food and the meeting.
George called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. He welcomed 21 club members and 5 guests.
Approval of Minutes: George asked if everyone had reviewed the minutes from the October meeting. He asked if there were any corrections or additions. Motion made and seconded to accept the minutes. Motion passed.
Financial Report: Bill Longfellow reported on the Income and Expenses for the month of October. He stated that the club came out ahead of the game for the month. Motion made and seconded to accept his report, motion passed.
President’s Report: George reported that the club had w very good work day and got a lot of poles out on Pool Table for Snowmobile Trails. They had a good Hamburger meal and all the fixings, thanks to all that helped. He stated that the club Christmas Party will be December 15th at the Community Building in South Fork. The club will furnish the meal, with club members furnishing appetizers. He stated that we all need to be doing our Snow Dance.
Hiking Report: Ozzie Wells reported that the Hikers are still getting in their time, while waiting for the snow to get here. They are hiking on Tuesdays, until the snow gets here. Have had some good hikes the last couple of weeks.
Social Report: Harolena reported that our club is hosting the Community Pot Luck on December 11th and requested help to set up and decorate. She stated that we will be having Door Prizes that night and if anyone has anything they want to donate, to let her know.
She stated that the club Christmas Party will start at 6:00 pm, with the Social Hour and dinner will be served at 7:00 pm. She requested that anyone attending bring something for Social Hour. She needs to have RSVPs by December 10th, to plan the amount of food needed.
Connie will be in charge of the Gift Exchange, and requested that everyone attending bring a Unisex Gift and the limit is $15.00. She suggested a prize for the best wrapped package or maybe the ugliest package.
George stated that club dues need to be paid by December 31, 2007, if you want to be included in the Club Directory that Lloyd and Barbara are making for 2008.
Fundraising Report: Elizabeth reported that we have made $2,700.00 on the quilt to date. Not many days left till the drawing.
Old Business: George stated that he didn’t have any old business to address and asked if anyone else had any. No.
New Business: George stated that the Board had voted to purchase a used drag from a club in Mont Rose. He stated that Lloyd Thiesfeld was willing to loan the money to the club for the purchase price until we get the SnowCat loan paid off, with out charging any interest. George will make an offer and see what we can purchase the drag for.
George stated that we need to elect a new VP and Treasurer. Elizabeth reported that the Nominating Committee had not been successful in getting anyone to agree to take the VP office. Lloyd is willing to be Treasurer, if Bill Longfellow will be his backup. Bill is willing.
Motion was made and seconded to elect Lloyd Thiesfeld as Treasurer, motion carried.
Dwayne nominated Bill Longfellow for VP, motion seconded, motion carried.
Need a Board of Director to replace Lloyd. Dwayne nominated Linda Cross for the position, motion seconded, motion carried by acclamation.
Elizabeth requested help to decorate the club tree at the Visitor’s Center on Saturday. Any one interested in helping be there at 1:30 pm.
50/50: Angela Wells won the drawing.
Dwayne announced the Thanksgiving Day Dinner by the Kiwanis from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Community Building. Free lunch.
George adjourned the meeting at 7:55 pm.
