Club Minutes
O.V. Keith blessed the food and meeting. Potluck served.
George called the meeting to order at 7:08 pm. Dwayne led the club members in the pledge to the American flag.
George welcomed everyone, 31 club members present with 3 guests.
George asked if everyone had read the October club meeting minutes. A motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes, motion passed.
Financial Report: Rex Blanco reviewed the expenses and income for the month. He reported that the Groomer Insurance is down for the coming year. We have a new expense for the Overload Permit required for the Groomer. A motion was made and seconded to accept the report, motion passed. Rex stated that the dues for the upcoming year are now due.
President’s Report: George requested that all members get their dues paid soon. He stated that his would be the last regular club meeting of this year, as we will have the Christmas party in December. He reported that the potties had been moved to 613 and plans to take one to the junction of 611 & 630. He plans to take the other set to Chicken Foot soon. George stated that all motorized club functions will meet at the Visitor’s Center and non-motorized events will meet and leave from the Community Building. He reported that the Powderbusters will conduct an Avalanche School in South Fork in January.
Hiking Report: Doug Knudson stated that the club is still hiking on Mondays at 9:00 am. He stated they will continue to hike until there is enough snow to change to snowshoes.
ATV Report: None
Social Report: None
Old Business: George stated that the club Christmas Party will be December 15th at the Community Building in South Fork. Social Hour is at 5:30 pm, dinner will be served at 6:30 pm. There will not be a charge for dinner, but donations will be accepted. Rex will be cooking the dinner. Please RSVP to George by e-mail if you plan to attend. Linda Cross reported that we will have a Gift Exchange, with the limit being $15.00 per gift. Please label gifts for ladies and men. She asked that everyone decorate their gifts and will be giving a prize for the best decorated gifts, 1st and 2nd.
George stated that we need to get our club tree decorated at the Visitor Center by December 1st, please contact Elizabeth if interested in helping. The club is decorating a tree for the Community Building this year and plans to do this after the meeting tonight. George stated that we need to pick up the trash along HWY 160 soon. It was decided to pick up trash on Monday, November 27th, meet at the Visitors Center at 9:00 am if you want to help.
New Business: George stated that he had spoken with Ronnie Day regarding the death of Art Marcilla, who worked for the Forest Service. He would like to set up and collect money for an Education Fund for his 2 daughters. He stated that Art had worked very closely with our club on trail maintenance and other projects. Ronnie told him that the Forest Service plans to place a Memorial Plaque on a trail in our area. George will contact the PowderBuster and Creede Snowmobile clubs to see if they would be interested in donating to the Education Fund also. It was decided to pass the hat and let club members donate as wished. We collected over $400.00.
George read a Thank you card from Nicki Becker for flowers sent to Jay’s service and cards received from club members.
George stated that we needed to have the election of officers for the new year. Dwayne read the nominations for the offices of President, Secretary and 3 Director positions. George asked if there were any nominations from the group, none made. Dwayne made a motion that the officers be elected by acclamation, motion seconded and carried. New officers effective January 2007.

Connie Gillispie stated that we need nominations for the Helping Hand Award to be presented at the January Meeting. Nominations may be sent to Connie, Linda or Rex.
50/50 Drawing: Joe DeGrado won the 50/50 drawing.
Motion made and seconded to adjourn at 7:52 pm, motion carried.
